Fit As A Fiddle
Over 50s in Solihull can get 'Fit As A Fiddle' !
People over 50 in Solihull are being encouraged to get fit by taking part in activities across the region.
Fit As A Fiddle is a major programme funded by a £15 million grant from the Big Lottery Fund and launched by Age Concern to help older people all over England live more healthy, active and fulfilling lives.
Fit As A Fiddle activities in Solihull include:
- Extend classes (gentle exercise and movement to popular and traditional music, part seated and part 'up and about' so the class can be adapted for wheelchair users)
- Tai Chi, Yoga and Extend (for residents in residential settings)
- Craft Clubs
- Talks on healthy eating delivered by a dietician from Solihull Primary Care Trust
